When I write a script, I usually start by collecting photos or scenes - either contrasting or emotionally connected ones. I keep my camera within reach, and on my way to my desk, I create what I call a visual diary. I let my gaze wander—through the streets, over skin, a beam of light, a plate of food, simple gestures, each image gaining new meaning depending on what comes before and after. Only once these images are assembled does the story emerge, and the writing begins. Here, I’m dedicating a space to share these fleeting moments that might otherwise be lost.
